Solid Rock UMC in North Philadelphia is a SHARE and PHILABUNDANCE distribution site.
They are also part of the Philadelphia Hunger Coalition which means they are a Hunger Hot Line Food Resource Location. Since the state has eliminated cash assistance, Solid Rock has been overwhelmed with requests for hygiene products and toiletries.

The mission will consist of both physical labor (light carpentry and moving) as well as spiritual (i.e., working with the children at Angel’s Haven, an HIV/AIDS orphanage run by UMC missionaries).

Unfortunately, Pastor Robin had a conflict come up and he will be unable to host the kickoff potluck this Tuesday. We will kick off the Living The Questions study at Arch St UMC (Arch and Broad) at 7pm this Tuesday (9/18) and will have the potluck dinner with Pastor Robin next Tuesday.
